Get "Up Close & Personal" with horses and experience learning in the Equine Environment
This will be a hands-on, complementary workshop introducing attendees to our style of sharing knowledge. Attendees are asked to bring a sack lunch, wear closed-toe/heel shoes. No mules, crocks, sandals, flip flops, etc. We will provide water and soft drinks.
The world of horses offers so much more than just riding lessons. Their environment is rich with experiential opportunities to learn and grow as a person, a family, or a team.
This is an introductory workshop, and although most of the activities are unmounted, they are hands-on experiences in which horses and the equine environment are used to inspire new ways of learning horsemanship skills and skills that have little to do with a horse. NO HORSE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED and THERE IS NO AGE LIMIT, however, it is designed for the mature student who enjoys learning in a lecture/lab setting. Attendees are asked to bring a sack lunch. We will provide water and soft drinks. Below are some of the concepts & topics to be introduced:
Dancing With Horses - Awareness Outside of Ourselves
Halter a Horse - Team Building
Walk. Walk. Whoa. - Purposeful Communication
Is That Part of the Bridle? - Fine Motor Skill Stimulation
Reflections of the Horse - Conveying an Experience in Unique Ways
Although there is no charge for this event, space is limited and reservations are required.
